Cancellation Terms and Conditions
1. Cancellation by the Client (Participant)
1.1 Cancellation Notice
Participants wishing to cancel their registration for a course must notify Pideya Learning Academy in writing (via email or official letter) at least 14 days prior to the course start date to be eligible for a refund.
1.2 Refund Policy
- Cancellation 14 days or more before the course start date: A full refund will be issued, minus an administrative fee of 10% of the course Fees.
- Cancellation within 7 to 13 days before the course start date: A 50% refund will be issued, minus an administrative fee of 10% of the course Fees.
- Cancellation within 7 days of the course start date: No refund will be issued, and the full course Fees will be charged.
1.3 No-Show or Abandonment
If a participant fails to attend the course without prior notice or abandons the course after it has commenced, no refund will be provided, and the full course Fees will remain due and payable.
1.4 Substitution of Participant
If a registered participant cannot attend, a substitute may be nominated, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the course. The substitution request must be submitted in writing to Pideya Learning Academy at least 3 days before the course start date.
2. Cancellation by the Institute
2.1 Institute’s Right to Cancel
Pideya Learning Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to insufficient registrations, force majeure events, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered the following options:
- Full Refund: A full refund of the course Fees will be issued if the course is canceled by Pideya Learning Academy.
- Transfer to a New Date: Participants may choose to transfer to a rescheduled course, if applicable, at no additional cost.
2.2 Notification of Cancellation
Pideya Learning Academy will provide at least 7 days’ notice to participants in case of course cancellation or rescheduling. Notification will be sent via email or phone.
2.3 Force Majeure
Pideya Learning Academy is not liable for any losses, delays, or cancellations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or governmental restrictions. In such cases, participants will be offered a transfer to a future course or a full refund of the course Fees.
3. Rescheduling of Courses by the Client
3.1 Rescheduling Request
Participants unable to attend a course but wishing to reschedule for a future session must submit a written request to Pideya Learning Academy at least 7 days before the course start date.
- No Additional Charges: Rescheduling to a future date for the same course and venue incurs no additional Fees.
- Change of Venue or Course Name: Requests to change the course venue or course name may incur additional Fees, which will be communicated to the participant in advance.
3.2 Subject to Availability
All rescheduling requests are subject to venue and trainer availability. If the requested dates or venues are unavailable, Pideya Learning Academy will offer alternative options or a credit note.
3.3 Limitations on Rescheduling
Rescheduling is permitted only once per participant. If a participant cancels after rescheduling, the cancellation policy outlined in Section 1.2 will apply. Late rescheduling requests (within 7 days of the course start date) may be subject to penalties or refusal by Pideya Learning Academy.
4. Refund Process
4.1 Refund Processing Time
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be issued via the same payment method and to the same account details provided by the participant during payment. Requests for refunds to a different account will not be processed until correct account details are provided.
4.2 Bank Charges
Any bank charges or transaction fees incurred during the refund process (e.g., international wire transfer fees) will be borne by the participant. The refund amount will be the course Fees minus any administrative fees and applicable bank charges.
4.3 Non-Refundable Fees
Non-refundable fees, such as those for registration or course materials, will be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.
5. Exceptions to Cancellation Policy
5.1 Medical or Emergency Situations
In cases of medical or emergency situations, participants may request an exception to the cancellation policy by submitting supporting documentation (e.g., medical certificates). Pideya Learning Academy will review such requests on a case-by-case basis and may offer:
- A partial refund of the course Fees,
- Rescheduling to a future course, or
- Transfer to an alternative course.
6. General Terms
6.1 Course Materials
Course materials (e.g., textbooks, workbooks, online access) are non-refundable once the course has started, even in the event of cancellation by the participant.
6.2 Changes to Terms
Pideya Learning Academy reserves the right to modify or amend these cancellation terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants in writing.
6.3 Binding Agreement
By registering for a course, participants agree to be bound by these cancellation terms and conditions. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with the policies of Pideya Learning Academy and governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and relevant federal laws of the UAE, with disputes subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
